The ear bars of this adapter are made of resin with tapered points on one and a cuff tips on the other, which ensure to hold the head firmly while avoiding damaging the mouses skull as the use of stainless steel rods did. With scales, the height of the ear bars and the insicor clip can be adjusted individually, which is good for experiments from different angles. Considering that there is no ear canal for neonatal rats, this adaptor employes a cheekbone locker to replace the ear bars. This design provides a non invasive and stable way to hold the neonatal rat.
